Zara SS’14 || My favorites

It’s been a while since I did a favorites post. I love Zara and i’m probably surfing on their site twice a week? It is a pretty expensive store and the best time to purchase from there is during the sale seasons. Unfortunately, they only have 2 sales periods a year. The mid-season sale is running everywhere (or was) but Zara just don’t do more than 2 sales periods a year! 😦 But there are some good finds with low prices!

My monthly budget is a bit lower than it used to be, since I don’t have a part-time job anymore. But I’m okay with that. It’s just a shop-a-holic therapy! I’ll enjoy by staring at this 13″inch screen and maybe i’ll illustrate an outfit with things I see and like!

Enough with the babble and let’s get into it!

Oversize crop shirt – pink. 25.95 EUR

Who doesn’t like crop tops? Well I’m in love with them!

It comes in white too, but since my closet is more monochrome and not so much color, I thought that this might be a good shirt to add in my closet. And honestly I think that the pastel trend will never end.

Shirt with pleated back. 25.95 EUR

Again, a pastel colored shirt. I really like shirts with collars and when it’s a bit oversized. What I like about this one are the rolled up sleeves. And have you seen the back? I think the back gives it a good touch to it and different.

Combination sheer Tee with text.

So lately, I’ve become in love with items with a combination of sheer fabric. I don’t know why or how, but I just like the way it looks and the effect you get. It creates depth? And it’s good for the spring and summer time. And I like the text on it and the way they put it. I love graffiti.

Text T-shirt. 9.95 EUR

I think It’s a fun and playful T- shirt. I work a lot with fonts and text and it can be something that I would make. The “please” tee, reminds me of Agnus of Despicable me. Just imagine her voice and the way she would say it.

Printed dress with back zip. 29.95 EUR

So I’ve been eyeing on this for a while now and I’m in love with it. But the only thing is, I’m not a fan of the high crew neck(?) But I do think that, without that neckline that this dress won’t look that good as it is now.

Leather biker jacket. 149.00 EUR

If you know me, you know that I love leather/biker jackets. Or jackets with leather details. And I love zara jacket and coats a lot. Most of my jackets and coats are from zara. A biker jacket suits very well with everything, it’s very versatile. And leather will never be a no no to me.

Oversize denim jacket. 45.95 EUR

I saw StyleSuzi with this jacket in a haul of her and I was like DAMN I NEED THAT! It brings you back to the 90’s. And I have no more words left to say. I already own a denim jacket of zara and I love and enjoy wearing it. I get a lot of compliments with that jacket and I think it’s of good quality, I can tell you that! And this jacket will be my first blue jacket. I only own black/olive green/grey and brown jackets/coats.

Soft blucher. 29.95 EUR

I love to wear flats and oxford kind of shoes. They are comfy and easy to pair with. And they are cute, that’s a plus!

High heel ankle boot with laces. 79.95 EUR

Somewhere last year, they came with a very similar boots. And I really liked them, but I was too late to get my hands on them. It was from the Autumn/winter collection and went on sale during the summer sale. But like I said, I missed my chance. And ever since then, those boots were following me everywhere.

I love ankle boots, I love cut out boots and I love chunky chains! What can I say more?

Multicolor effect collar. 19.95 EUR

Okay I’ll be honest with you, It’s not that kind of necklace that I would wear but I liked the color combination and it’s a perfect item for the spring and summer days. It’s easy to pair with a plane white or maybe even black shirt. But you don’t want to pair it with printed shirts, that’s a no no.

Limited edition necklace. 22.95 EUR

Can someone tell my why it’s called “limited edition”? I mean, it’s just a simple necklace with layers. I really like this necklace, you can wear it with everything. But isn’t it a bit too overpriced for a necklace like this?

Mini gusseted messenger bag. 27.95 EUR

I saw this little bag, a week ago in store from far. And I was curious about it, because I wondered what it actually is. I mean from far you can’t see it that well. So I picked it up and looked at it and was like, “Heey there’s a white pouch inside it!” and I was playing a bit with it, while my sister was trying on some shoes.. And I went to her with this little bag with a happy face and she was like “huh..okay” I wanted to get it, but everyone knows that I have enough bags. (just face it Ellen, you can’t have to many bags)

It’s another item that I’ve been eying for! I’ve seen it many times at bloggers and on fashionlista. But somehow, I couldn’t find it anywhere. Not online and not in store so I am a bit surprised that I finally found it now! But again, I have to many bags and pouches now..

The leather lunch bags, bags are in scene for a few years. And I still love them! And I wanted to make my own, but didn’t had the time…

A day at Antwerp || Winter sale haul

Happy chinese new year everyone!

After a busy week with schoolwork and saying goodbye to DGF (well not fully goodbye.. I have to visit them somewhere this week too). I had finally a day off on a friday! So we thought let’s go to Antwerp! Since it’s only 8euros in total for us to go to Antwerp from Amsterdam and back. We didn’t had that much of time because I had a family dinner with my mother and my two sisters. Can you guess where we went? Yes, at the restaurant where I work.:) I like the food there and my mom only went there for once. So I thought why not celebrate Chinese new year this year there. It takes about 2hours from here to Antwerp. But on the way back it felt much longer than 2hours..  We just walked around a bit and found China town! I know it’s just right next to the station, but the last time when I was there I didn’t see it. We were there somewhere around half past 11, there wasn’t that much open and I just wanted to see how the chinatown there looks like.. And then I found 2 stores with asian fashion and cosmetics. There were 2, one was only girls/woman’s clothing and korean/japanese cosmetics and the other was with men’s clothing with a bit for girls/woman’s. I really liked the 2 stores, because we don’t really have them here only online.. And you can find some good korean/japanese cosmetics there! Another reason to go back there!

And ofcourse, how can we forgot dim sum? I don’t remember the name of this restaurant, but it was an okay/good restaurant. The only thing is, the staff are a bit weird.. and unfriendly-ishh? The main reason why I wanted to go to Antwerp was, just to go shopping. Surprise, surprise! The sales (or should I say solden?) got me very well!

Sorry that I have 2 different set ups for this haul and bad lighting. I just don’t like the way how it looks like when I hang the trousers, it doesn’t look that appealing that way.. And for the other items, I don’t like the way they look when it’s not hanging. (sorry I kinda forgot what I meant..) But anyways, I really love all the items i’ve got from the sales! Even the kids collection. I’ve been eying on the baseball jacket for a few months now and finally got it. And I’m so glad that I’m small, because you’ll think that the kids collections are childish looking. But that’s not with the zara kids! Most items from  them are just mini versions of the sara collection for us! And everything fits perfectly fine on me.^^ I got the kids collection at Antwerp and the next day I’ve got the TRF and Woman collection here in Amsterdam.

Surprisingly the grey jumper from Hyper store, is really thick and warm. I didn’t expect that from asian clothing.. Most of them are pretty thin. I wore this immediately after Dim sum and it kept me really warm. It looks good with a collar shirt underneath, that day I worn a mint/pastel green thrifted collar shirt and it looked really nice. I can pair this easily with leggings, boots and I’m good to go!

And lastly, Urband Outfitters. They say, the best time to get something at UO is when there’s sale. Well, don’t  go when it starts but somewhere in the finale sale. These pair of shoes were from 50euros to 5euros! Can you believe that? They look so nice and pretty. Wished they had them in black too in my size, if there was I would get them both! I haven’t really worn it yet but most times when I wear flat shoes, I get blisters very quickly or it hurts when I put them on, I hope it won’t hurt.
