It’s a little bit late but still wanted to say, Happy Easter! Did you had a nice long weekend?
So it’s a long weekend with a nice weather. I didn’t stay home, but still had lots to do and never got into it. It was a good weekend and you know why? Because one of my all time favorite store has opened a store here in Amsterdam! I’ve been waiting for this for ages. So I went there for a bit, but didn’t got anything because of the crowd. It was CRAZY.
And I went to my sister who helped me with shooting and filming of a haul, yes I filmed a haul and it will be up this week!
So here’s the outfit that I wore yesterday and you can say that it’s a sneak peak of my haul.
I got this jumpsuit/romper at a night market at Hatyai, Thailand. I saw it hanging there at a stand of an old lady and I liked it a lot. It’s cute and you can wear it in different ways! I like the collar and the sleeves the most. Normally I wouldn’t go for something with polka dots or flowy sleeves. But this one just got me! And I’m also trying to change my wardrobe a bit. It also came in black but I preferred navy blue more. I can’t remember the price of it but it was about 6 euro’s?
What I like to do, is to pair it together with a leather skirt for a cuter look. I love this combination and I will try it with other skirts too! I got this skirt last summer from Forever21 in Beijing. I’m not sure if they still have it or similar ones, but you can find faux leather skirts everywhere.
And for the accessorizes, I just wear a simple silver arrow charm. And I got this last summer from Forever21 in London. This is probably one of my favorite necklace, because you can pair it with one or 2 more necklaces and the color doesn’t change at all! And when I wear it, I tend to forget to take it off. And I’m still wearing it, at the moment. So you can see 2 more chains and that’s because of, one necklace is a very important necklace for me and I wear it every single day without taking it off. I always wear other necklaces with it, even if it doesn’t look that nice together. But hey, who cares? And for the other one is because I was filming a haul and paired it with some of the outfits, I didn’t like it with this jumpsuit. So that is why you see 2 more chains.
It was love at the first sight! I just had to get this bag. I love satchels, I love backpacks and I just loved the illustrations. All my bags are just plain and simple, that’s what I always go for. But this one, oh my, I just had to get it. I don’t remember the brand name of it, but if you have a Parkson (warehouse) near you then you can probably see a stand with bags of this brands. And they had more models too and different illustrations i think. And the funny thing is, I found a “dupe” at Chicnova.

Happy chinese new year everyone!
After a busy week with schoolwork and saying goodbye to DGF (well not fully goodbye.. I have to visit them somewhere this week too). I had finally a day off on a friday! So we thought let’s go to Antwerp! Since it’s only 8euros in total for us to go to Antwerp from Amsterdam and back. We didn’t had that much of time because I had a family dinner with my mother and my two sisters. Can you guess where we went? Yes, at the restaurant where I work.:) I like the food there and my mom only went there for once. So I thought why not celebrate Chinese new year this year there. It takes about 2hours from here to Antwerp. But on the way back it felt much longer than 2hours.. We just walked around a bit and found China town! I know it’s just right next to the station, but the last time when I was there I didn’t see it. We were there somewhere around half past 11, there wasn’t that much open and I just wanted to see how the chinatown there looks like.. And then I found 2 stores with asian fashion and cosmetics. There were 2, one was only girls/woman’s clothing and korean/japanese cosmetics and the other was with men’s clothing with a bit for girls/woman’s. I really liked the 2 stores, because we don’t really have them here only online.. And you can find some good korean/japanese cosmetics there! Another reason to go back there!
And ofcourse, how can we forgot dim sum? I don’t remember the name of this restaurant, but it was an okay/good restaurant. The only thing is, the staff are a bit weird.. and unfriendly-ishh? The main reason why I wanted to go to Antwerp was, just to go shopping. Surprise, surprise! The sales (or should I say solden?) got me very well!

Sorry that I have 2 different set ups for this haul and bad lighting. I just don’t like the way how it looks like when I hang the trousers, it doesn’t look that appealing that way.. And for the other items, I don’t like the way they look when it’s not hanging. (sorry I kinda forgot what I meant..) But anyways, I really love all the items i’ve got from the sales! Even the kids collection. I’ve been eying on the baseball jacket for a few months now and finally got it. And I’m so glad that I’m small, because you’ll think that the kids collections are childish looking. But that’s not with the zara kids! Most items from them are just mini versions of the sara collection for us! And everything fits perfectly fine on me.^^ I got the kids collection at Antwerp and the next day I’ve got the TRF and Woman collection here in Amsterdam.
Surprisingly the grey jumper from Hyper store, is really thick and warm. I didn’t expect that from asian clothing.. Most of them are pretty thin. I wore this immediately after Dim sum and it kept me really warm. It looks good with a collar shirt underneath, that day I worn a mint/pastel green thrifted collar shirt and it looked really nice. I can pair this easily with leggings, boots and I’m good to go!
And lastly, Urband Outfitters. They say, the best time to get something at UO is when there’s sale. Well, don’t go when it starts but somewhere in the finale sale. These pair of shoes were from 50euros to 5euros! Can you believe that? They look so nice and pretty. Wished they had them in black too in my size, if there was I would get them both! I haven’t really worn it yet but most times when I wear flat shoes, I get blisters very quickly or it hurts when I put them on, I hope it won’t hurt.

I’m finally getting more time for the blog and ideas for upcoming posts. It is a bit late but my birthday was on October 28th. I got a few things from my sisters and the sweetest. And I did gave myself a bday gift(s).
I’m also trying to find a great way how to present my photos for the blog in photoshop, so I’m still figuring out how.. or if it looks nice or not. Pugly Pixel is a great help!
I’ll start with the non fashion items first.
My older sister got me a book and said it’s a very inspiring book. It’s really nice of her but the question is, will I read it? It’s not that I don’t like the present but, I just don’t like reading. But I’ll try it, I promise! and I might do a review? or something like that.
My 2nd sister got me a few beauty products from the body shop. Once again it’s really nice and sweet. But when it comes to beauty product to me.. I’ll use it a few times and after that, it just stays in my room.. But I did try a few of them and I love it! I’ve never used scrub before but after I’ve used the chocolate, it felt so good! But the smell was a bit strong for me, so what my sister did was. She bought a mango one and asked if I wanted to switched it with her (we can be a bit weird). So at the end we split it, we both got 50/50 of each.=) She also got me a body butter from the honey collection. I’ve heard a lot from the honey collection and it smells so sweet. But I haven’t used it yet. And what I am using almost daily now, are the facial cream, cleanser, toner and something something (i don’t really know what they are used for tbh..) But it’s from the sensitive or for dry skin line, the one with the seaweed. And up till now it’s working for me. Although, I’m only using the daydream.. I just don’t know about beauty stuff a lot..

The sweetest got me something very unexpected. For the dutchies, you may already know that there’s finally a Urban Outfitters in Amsterdam! No more traveling to Antwerp for the urban outfitters, all you need to do now is coming to amsterdam. So when we went there, he saw a very cute and pretty bag and I was like “OMG I NEED THAT BAG”. He’s always saying that I have to many bags already. (well everyone says that) So when he came to pick me up from my internship he said: “They don’t have that bag anymore at the urban outfitters” and I was like “noooooo, why why why”. But then I was thinking, why did he say that? And I already saw the urban outfitters bag, he covered the inside of the bag with his jacket. (wearing no jacket on a rainy and stormy day..) When he finally gave me the present, I was shocked from happiness.

And now for the clothing. At first I didn’t really thought about getting myself something.. But on the day of my birthday, I’ve got a 30% off coupon from American Apparel. I think you get it when you’re a subscriber. And I knew that there’ll be a sample sale with Poppy’s parade.nl, Motel rocks and Club manhattan. Because I had to work on the first day of the sample sale, I couldn’t go. Only on the saturday, but I was pretty tired from work and I spent the night at my sister place because i worked till late. So I wasn’t sure if I should go or not. And later I thought, you know what I’ll just go to say hi and see what they had. And I thought maybe there’s not a lot left anymore, but luckily it wasn’t.=)

It was really nice of Poppy’s that they gave me the overall^^ I’m still very shy when I’m with them. But I like them very much. Sometimes I can see my two sisters and me in them. And I like being their freelancer.
And for the fox necklace. I got it yesterday. I just felt I had to go to haarlemmerstraat, after my internship. Just to look around in the vintage shops. And walking there inspires me a lot, just like the nine streets and utrechtsestraat(?). The necklace is from Jutka & Riska. It’s a really nice store, I always like to go in there and just look around. Maybe I should change from shopping at h&m and zara etc.. And start shopping more at stores like Jutka & Riska.

First of all, sorry that I haven’t post anything the past week. I am planning to post 2/3 days a week and also want to try to start a fashion related channel on youtube.. so what do you think?
Last week I finally started with my intership for school. And it’s pretty nice here, I like it. But as soon as I started with my first day, I’ve got the cold..
A few weeks ago I cleaned my closet and thought I do have a lot of clothes.. 50% of it were clothes that I haven’t wore in YEARS. And ofcourse for the prettier pieces I can give it to my cousins and nieces. I’m glad I did that! The pieces they’ve choosed are the ones i loved. And that was probably 15% of my closet? I still have some left for my other nieces and for the other part i thought let’s just sell it! I remembered one day a friend asked me about “Ij-Hallen” and I never really heard about it before, but it did sounds like something for me to go. And there I was at Ij-hallen, early in the morning with all my clothing, shoes and accessories Oh and some clothing and shoes from my two sisters!
I was lucky that the weather was nice that day, but it wasn’t crowded maybe because on the same day it was “Dam tot Dam loop”. But still got some money in my pockets!. One of my sisters came to help me out and it was really fun to do it.
I wasn’t only selling my old clothing but also some t-shirts that i’ve made in my first year of graphic design. I only had 10/12 T-shirts and 3 canvas tote bags. Everytime when someone was looking at it, I told them it was my own design and made it by myself. Now here comes the nice part of it!
One woman saw the tee and i said that i made it by myself. And she really like it. Because she’s a pianist and my design has music notes and piano keys on it. with a description of ” A cup of melody? -Life is like a piano.” And we also told her that we’re playing piano too and were the inspiration came from. So she asked me if I had a business card, well to be honest I don’t. BUT I had cute little small cards where I wrote my mail, portfolio site and this blog. It was good to do that.=) So she said, maybe we can work together someday, because she stands at festivals. I’m very excited to work together with her.

For a long time, I’ve been thinking about my selling my own designs on tees and canvas totes. But i always thought, it can be hard or maybe people won’t buy it or like it? And now I think it’s time for me to do it! (after researching on everything of course)
After a while of standing, I went to walk a bit to look around. I saw a lot of nice stuffs, vintage bags.. clothing or an old pop art painting AND old vintage cameras. I just couldn’t help myself but to look at the camera’s and to buy one. I was holding myself back with the clothing and the bags. (pretty proud of it) But then shoes… So there were two old woman standing next to me. And they had the same problem as us, small sizes. One of the old woman came a bit later and she brought a nice pair of shoes. Everyone who wanted them had a bigger size. My sister and I were looking at it and I thought WAUW! I just want them. But to tell you the truth, I’m not really a person who wears a animal print, I don’t like them. But sometimes I just love them, only on nice shoes.
I know it’s weird to ask if I could try them on.. but couldn’t helped it. So I tried them on and it looked so nice on me. I just had to buy them! And it was never worn before for 10 euro’s! later I found out that it was from the invito of 15+ years ago! Now that’s what I call vintage.
And just before we had to wrap up everything an other woman who was standing on my left side, gave me three CC creams from Tony moly, holika? and another korean brand. A total of four korean skincare products. That was so nice of her.=)
So when I came home I told my mom about everything and about the vintage camera’s. And she was like, “we have an old camera too from years ago!” I was like “what, why didn’t you tell me!?” So she showed it to me, and it was an old version of the Lomography Lubitel? A Yashica.
It was a nice day!
