A day at the ZOO part 1 || Antwerp trip

2 weeks ago seems a long time ago. From that week on, it was the only chance to enjoy the freedom we had for a week and a half. And you can probably guess how I’ve spend them. Most of the Continue reading

A dream come true || Jeff Koons

I’ve always wanted to see the Balloon dog in real life, it’s probably the first art work of Jeff Koons that made me introduce to him. I was very lucky to see his artworks at Centre Pompidou, Paris back in december. I actually had to drag hubby to come here. (well actually to every musea that I wanted to visit) Continue reading

Paris street art ||Rue Dénoyez

Back in december 2014 I made a little trip to Paris to spend Christmas with my bf. One thing I always love to do when I’m traveling, is walking through the streets and discover amazing artwork on the streets. I’m a huge insta addict. And one day I came a cross a picture that was taken in Paris where you could see tons and tons of street art. So that was a must see for me! Continue reading

Fancy for once || Le Hide, Paris

On the 22nd of December, we went to Paris. On the 23rd we thought; “hey let’s eat something real french and a bit fancy!” Now that I think of it, why didn’t we did this on the first Christmass day? But I’m still glad that we did this once.

I never really go to a fancy restaurant, I think I only did that twice(?) And I also just don’t really think of it. I just like simple dishes as long as it’s tasty.

After a long day of walking in Paris, capturing everything you see on the streets, the typical things tourists goes for and of course after the shopping. We planned to eat at Le Hide. The night before I looked around the net where we could eat in the neighbour of The Eiffel tower and Champs- Elysees.

It was a tiny tiny restaurant and I think it’s better to make a reservation first, but we were lucky that there were still a table for 2 left. 🙂

We took a 3-course menu just for 34 euros per person.

The first dish I had was a lobster with pumpkinsoup and a sort of spiced cake. I never had pumpkin soup before, my sister always tell me about it. So I thought let’s just try it out. I trust my sister’s tastebuds.

As for him he had the snails. I didn’t dare to try it but to be honest it did looked nice. Oh and we didn’t took any pictures of his dishes..he had a bit of bad lighting..

And the second dish I had was a filet of a seabags with mashed potato and a carrot crunch? And there were also some vegetable which I still don’t know what it was. But I liked it, a lot. And everything was coated with a sour white cream(?)

And for him it was a steak dish.

And lastly, the desert. Here we have a cup of espresso which I wasn’t allowed to drink.. We all know what happens when I drink coffee.. There was also a creme brûlée with a hint of orange, I didn’t really like the orange flavour in it but it was still nice. Then we had a peer sorbet which I love. And a chocolate mouse.

We also had a glass of white wine, I asked for a very very sweet one and it was pretty good. I think I should remember the names more, but everything was in french so yea..

The staff were very nice and helpful. Next time when I’m in Paris, I would definitely pay a visit again!
